Not sure why people are trashing this location, particularly Whitney Dahlin. You can place a hold on a book from any of the Mid-Continent libraries and they'll have it transferred to the in-network location of your choice where you pick it up. I have them dropped at the Camden Point branch, which is only a couple of minutes from my house. Yes, you have to wait a few days, but the selection of books is great. There are some that I want that the system doesn't have, but that is to be expected. Nice resource for a small community.

The staff are very friendly. They have a drive through you can use to pick up books on hold. It is always very quiet and clean.

Love going to the library

Amazing staff that really knows their books and if in need of a recommendation, have plenty to offer. Easy layout so know where to go to find a book/tape or cd. Nice building and they have a place you can drop off books or drive thru!

BAD SELECTION! This library is giant and looks good on the outside but had the WORST selection of books out of any library I have EVER been to. Nothing but trashy romance novels and NONE of any of the classics! No Fitzgerald, Hemmingway, Walden, Austen, Dickenson, NOTHING! I'm not joking or exaggerating. I have been here tons of times and the selection is so bad it's starting to anger me. I used to work at a midcontinent library so I know that the head librarian is given a certain amount of money every six months to spend for each section of books and she is BAD at it. All she does is choose romance novels SHE wants to read and uses the taxpayer money to buy them instead of stocking the shelves with anything else. She must be really lonely to order shelve upon shelve of trashy romance books. I have spoken to her about this problem numerous times but she just says order the other books if you want them. She is rude and honestly doesn't care. She should not be in charge of ordering books. She has single handedly turned this library into the worst midcontinent in the entire state. I'm not joking go look in adult fiction yourself, 80% of the books are romance. Fix this. This is OUR money they are wasting on romance novels and stupid classes no one takes instead of stocking the shelves with BOOKS like a LIBRARY is supposed to do.
