When I moved to Platte City two years ago I started using Mosaic Life Care. I was diagnosed with a ulcerative colitis because of a stool sample taken from Mosaic Life care. Blue Cross and Blue Shield told me that Mosaic was coding it wrong and if someone from billing would call them they would fix it. I called Mosaic and they said they couldn't call them to fix it and told me that I needed to pay for the test out of pocket,, the test was 1000. dollars. I've been trying to get this resolved for over a year now and now Mosaic is threatening to send me to collections over a bill that my insurance copy would cover if they would just take the time to call them. There billing department is very unprofessional.
Mosaic Life Care is far better than other providers. I had a significant health incident one morning and got an appointment the same morning. This is not the first time I got a "same day" appointment. Dr. Phillipe and the nursing staff treat me with concern and detailed attention. Being a disabled veteran, I have experienced many other health care systems and Mosaic is by far the best I've used.
I called and scheduled an appointment to see a DR about a elbow injury.while making the appointment I inquired about an injection of cortisone if that's what was diagnosed, was told no problem. Took off work showed up, was immediately told my doctor didn't "do" elbows, but could reschedule another day with a doctor who could. I asked to speak to manager and after a 1.5 hour wait was told that this dr prefers not to "do" elbows. The customer care phone number and people answering gave me the same information. I highly recommend not using Mosaic care and specifically the platte city location.
I have had nothing but great service form Mosaic Life Care. I always see Abigail Kidwell, ARNP. She is very thorough and takes the time to listen to the patient. She has been better at diagnosing symptoms than other doctors I have seen. She will run all the necessary tests to get to the root of the symptoms. Nurse Kidwell genuinely cares about the patients. Plus, at Mosaic, they believe in preventive care and screenings, whereas other clinics do not. This is very important to me as someone who has a relative whose clinic did not do regular screenings and this relative found she had cancer almost too late. Another plus in my opinion, is that they know their limits and know when to refer a patient to a specialist.
